Dream stuff. Do stuff. But most of all, spread the joy, which is the good stuff!

My son, a badass commercial fisherman, was living his Alaskan dream as a crew member on a “Deadliest Catch” caliber vessel, the Magnus Martens, when he very unexpectedly crossed over. Den was a joy-giver! Since he’s not physically present to continue his journey, which was always about his love for others, I’m doing my best to level up and spread all that joy. I’m not the athlete he was, but when I’m on a pickleball court, I feel my beautiful boy’s zestful energy cheering me on. Planning fun pickleball events for you is yet another way for me to share joy! Yeah, baby!!

God is good. I’m likewise blessed with a beautiful, ridiculously smart daughter, Darlena, who’s as much a supporter of my efforts as Den was. Darlena is also one of the most well-read people I know, so she and I are usually chatting about books and teaching. She's passionate about her teaching career and her students are lucky to have her because she's a very funny braniac! The best kind!

Shout out to the Zani bunch: my super cool sibs, baby Leesa, Marcia, and Bob, who are also irreplaceable, awe-inspiring friends, and Barry and Tom, my sweet big brothers who babysat and spoiled us with ice cream trips, movies, candy and trips to the beach! R.I.P. to our incredibly FUN parents, who made sure loud laughter was at the heart of every dinner gathering. Dad gave us nicknames: Baby Lees (no "a") the Meek, Bump, Lucy, Buzza, & Tub. Mum was "Tilly."

He's a badass who climbs mountains and lives on his bicycle, traveling the world photographing moments. Taught school in S. Korea for decades. Wickedly smart and a voracious reader who's hilarious--he tells the BEST stories!! 🚵🏼‍♂️

My big brothers Barry and Tom!

Tom was a marine and Barry in the navy. Both served in Vietnam as did Dad, who retired as an Air Force Colonel-full bird! 🦅 Tom and Barry helped raise us "littles." Tom even skipped school to help out Mum when Dad was flying as a navigator. They were FUN and spoiled us rotten!!
